The Children’s Health Place in Greeley Colorado is a veteran-owned, independent Medical Home that serves the Greeley and the Northern Colorado region. Centrally located in the Woodbriar Building in Greeley, Colorado, the practice attends to children, birth to 18 years of age and accepts most insurance plans including Health First Colorado (Medicaid) and CHP+ (Child Health Plan Plus). The practice consists of two pediatric providers, a Speech Therapist and five support staff. In operation for 28 years, the practice prides itself on a robust care management program, medical and behavioral outcomes, collaboration with Children’s Hospital of Colorado and places a high value on serving our bi-lingual patient base with quality, caring and compassion. Board Certified Medical Director/ Pediatrician (MD/DO)

The Children’s Health Place is seeking an energetic Board-Certified Pediatrician/Medical Director to join our dynamic team in Greeley, Colorado.

The Children’s Health Place is an independent pediatric outpatient primary care practice in Greeley, Colorado. We have been in business for over 30 years and have gained a loyal following which includes many third-generation families. Over the years we have developed a mission to provide a personal approach to healthcare every child deserves. This includes treating, educating, and caring for each child, and their family with methods that are unique to the patient’s needs, resources available, and health goals.

We believe a healthy child starts with a healthy home, and thus we ensure not only our patients, but the parents have access to necessary resources to build an environment where the family can thrive. We offer quick access to high-quality pediatric primary care services, meeting the needs of pediatric patients including the underserved community of Northern Colorado. Throughout the years we have established a great relationship with Children’s Hospital of Colorado (CHCO) and participate in many training and CME opportunities through CHCO.

We are seeking a Board-Certified Pediatrician/Medical Director to lead our practice into the future of pediatrics. The position would require the physician to maintain patient visits, between 15-25 patients per day, and serve as a supervisor, mentor and coach to the Advanced Practice Providers. As the Medical Director, you would have the opportunity and privilege of determining policies and procedures of the practice, ensuring our patients receive top-notch medical care and exceptional customer service. About Greeley, Colorado 

We are nestled in the heart of Northern Colorado, where you can drive about an hour south and be in the bustling city of Denver, drive an hour west and be in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, drive an hour east and be on the majestic plains of eastern Colorado, or drive an hour north and see what’s going on in Cheyenne, Wyoming. If travel isn’t your thing, don’t worry, there are plenty of activities here in Greeley, home to several golf courses, biking trails, and cultural museums, and home to the University of Northern Colorado Bears. Greeley has a great small town feel where you can get to work in ten minutes, get to know your neighbors, but still have plenty to do and stay active.

Position Details:

  • Full-time schedule available four days a week
  • Telephone on-call rotation but no hospital rounds (office hours Monday thru Friday)
  • Supervising Physician for Advanced Practice Providers
  • Display a caring, respectful and professional approach to care

Benefits

  • Salary Range: $173,000-$215,000 (based on experience)

Requirements: 

  • Current MD/DO unrestricted license
  • Board Certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics
  • 3+ years’ experience in an outpatient clinic setting
  • Bilingual in Spanish (Preferred)

Advanced Practice Provider: NP-C/ PA-C

The Children’s Health Place is seeking a Board-Certified Advance Practice Provider to work Full-Time (5 days per week).

We are searching for an energetic provider with entrepreneurial spirit to supplement our pediatrician, as our practice continues to grow. Our search is to find a licensed, Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, who has a passion and desire to make a positive impact on the children and families within our practice. The Advanced Practice Provider will have the ability to build a career, supported by an experienced staff and work within the limits of their license. The new candidate will join our established practice serving our diverse pediatric patient base, including many third-generation patients.We are searching for that one, very special person who will fully embrace our mission statement, “a personal approach to health care every child deserves”.

About Northern Colorado:

We are centrally located in Greeley, CO with a population of 109,000 residents.  Greeley is a medium-sized city with plenty of activities to do but maintains a small-town feel.  Home to numerous golf courses, biking trails, parks, and within an hour’s drive to Denver, Ft. Collins, and Cheyenne, Wyoming.  Greeley has much to offer and is the perfect place to call home.  You’ll have plenty of time to enjoy it and everything else Colorado has to offer when you’re not working nights or weekends!

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide pediatric services in a primary outpatient care setting
  • Prescribe or administer treatments, medications, vaccinations and diagnostic testing
  • Interpret diagnostic tests to determine diagnosis and treatment
  • Assess and treat behavioral health concerns
  • Always displays caring and professional attitude
  • Maintains patient confidentiality
  • Basic understanding of electronic medical records (Epic Preferred)
  • Understanding of appropriate quality-based chart documentation and medical coding
  • Patient and parent education

Team skills:

  • Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Able to work effectively at all levels in a collaborative team environment
  • Able to offer guidance and supervision in a constructive and appropriate manner
  • Responds professionally to high-pressure situations and time limits
  • Ability to maintain quality, safety and/or infection control standards
  • Knowledge of patient safety protocols, procedures, regulations and standards
  • Thorough understanding of compliance operations, patient safety, and HIPAA
  • Ability to make effective clinical/procedural decisions and recommendations

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Program
  • Current Colorado PA or NP License (in good standing)
  • Current National Board Certification
  • Prescriptive Authority
  • 2+ year experience
  • Current BLS/CPR required
  • Ability to work in drug and smoke-free workplace

Preferred Job Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience
  • Experience in Pediatrics
  • Bilingual in Spanish

Benefits:

  • Pay range: $43.00 to $63.00 per hour (dependent on experience)

Office hours:

  • Day shift, Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm
