Our Team
The Children’s Health Place staff are dedicated to caring for and providing your child with the best pediatric care in town. When we aren’t scheduling appointments or talking about healthcare, our staff love interacting with our patients and we get excited when the kids want to show us their new toys, talk about their friends and teachers at school, and show off their cool outfits. We work together as a team to ensure your child leaves our office feeling happy and healthy as possible.
Clinical Staff
Zachary LeBlanc, DO
Medical Director | Pediatrician
Dr. LeBlanc is a Colorado native, growing up in Colorado Springs. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Sciences from Colorado State University, and is a graduate of Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Parker, Colorado. He completed his Pediatric residency through the United States Army at both Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, WA and San Antonio Military Medical Center, in San Antonio, TX. After working many years in large medical centers, Dr. LeBlanc is excited to start building relationships and establishing care programs in a primary care setting. He is looking forward to helping our patients and families struggling with asthma and ADHD. When he’s not working, he enjoys watching football, skiing, and spending time outdoors.
Sara Vasquez, PA-C
Physician Assistant
Sara was born and raised in Greeley where she went to high school at Dayspring Christian Academy. After graduation, she decided to stay local and attend The University of Northern Colorado, Go Bears!, where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in biological sciences. During her time in college, she volunteered at Northern Colorado Medical Center, played intramural sports, and worked as a certified nursing assistant and medical scribe.
Sara was accepted into Physician Assistant school at South College, Knoxville, TN, after graduating from UNC. In September of 2020 she packed her things and moved to Knoxville, TN to start her journey in PA school. Sara has been interested in pediatrics since she was in high school and her passion for the specialty was confirmed during her pediatric rotation. While living in Knoxville, Sara enjoyed spending her free time attending Tennessee Volunteer football games, exploring Knoxville with her dog Rip, traveling to Nascar races and spending time with her friends from PA school. After graduating in December of 2022, she decided to move back to Greeley to be closer to her fiancé and family.
Sara and her husband Tyler were married in 2023 and are living just outside of Greeley. Sara and Tyler welcomed their first baby, Emma, in October of 2025 and are loving being new parents. They have a full house with their Bernedoodles, Rip and Boone, several farm cats, and a handful of chickens.
Sara is incredibly excited to be back in Greeley and cannot wait to begin serving the families of the community she grew up in.
Mary Hernandez, CMA
Certified Medical Assistant | Habla Español
Mary has been with the practice since October 2023. She was born and raised in Greeley, CO, and enjoys spending time with her family, reading, cooking, and is very active with her church. Her favorite part about working in pediatrics is being able to comfort kids when they’re scared of getting shots.
Orest Dubynsky, MD
Medical Director | Pediatrician | Habla Espanol | Retiring 2025
Orest (Dr. Dubynsky) was raised in Chicago where he attended high school. After graduation, he and his father traveled to Europe and while in Madrid, Spain, repairing their 1955 VW, were rather surprised to hear his native language (ethnic origin is Ukrainian) spoken in Spain. Shortly after a conversation ensued and quickly learned they were medical students in Spain. Tuition and cost of living was considerably affordable so after some deliberation and discussion with the family he decided to go to Spain to study medicine. After completion of his second year of Pre-Med at Loyola University of Chicago, and acceptance to medical school, he packed his bags and moved to Spain.
Although Orest did not speak Spanish, he was ready for a new adventure. Upon graduation from medical school, having learned a new culture and its language, he returned to the United States and settled in Cincinnati, Ohio. While in Cincinnati, Orest spent a year and with a brilliant allergist (I. Leonard Bernstein, M.D.) and then three years in a Pediatric Residency at Hershey, Pennsylvania. After he finished his training and residency and a small stint at a multi-specialty practice, Orest and two fellow pediatricians established Bristol Street Pediatrics. After fifteen years at Bristol Street the urge to venture was West, specifically Colorado was at hand.
In 1993 Dr. Dubynsky moved to Greeley and began his solo practice as Cottonwood Pediatrics. Over the last 24 years the practice evolved into The Children’s Health Place. In that time, Dr. Dubynsky published research papers and has participated in several medical credentialing boards, hosted many medical students and developed a strong community following. The Children’s Health Place has developed a strong bond with many families and it is common to see third generation families scheduling appointments to see Dr. Orest Dubynsky.
Orest loves the outdoors, western art and the Colorado landscape. When not in the office, you might find him in Estes Park with his lovely wife Susan, driving all over Greeley assisting various organizations or on his back porch watching the sunset. Dr. Dubynsky is married and has two adult sons.
Administrative Staff
Aislinn Portillo Ortiz
Office Manager | Habla Español
Aislinn is our office manager. She has been a part of the Children’s Health Place team since September 2021. Aislinn loves working with families and helping create a positive experience for every child who walks through our doors. Aislinn has a background in early childhood education and over seven years of experience as an early childhood teacher. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling with her husband and spending time outdoors, exploring new places and soaking up nature.
Aislinn and her husband Rodolfo welcomed their first baby, Angela (AJ), in October 2025. They are enjoying being new parents. If you’re lucky, you might get to see AJ hanging around the office a couple of days a week!

Andrea Herrera, MBA, SHRM-CP
Vice President
Andrea has been with The Children’s Health Place since 2021. She is the Vice President, and co-owner of the practice and oversees human resources, marketing and the patient experience. Andrea is a Colorado native, a graduate of CSU and Southern Utah University. She enjoys spending time outdoors, reading, cooking, and hanging out with her dog Beans. Andrea loves seeing all the milestones of the patients, the first tooth, first time walking, starting school, and she’s a big fan of babies in cute outfits!
Abe Herrera, MS
President | Habla Español
Abe Herrera, President of The Children’s Health Place is a seasoned healthcare professional with over 40 years of experience in the industry. Abe began his career as a Combat Medic in the United States Army, and the Colorado Army National Guard and retired after 21 years of honorable service. Simultaneously, Abe worked as a Practical Nurse in acute, pediatric and long-term care. Throughout his healthcare profession, Abe held multiple leadership or training positions such as the Director of Safety and Risk Management, Health Services Administrator, Special Projects Consultant and Practice Manager.
In March 2019, Abe became President of Aggie Pediatrics, LLC dba The Children’s Health Place and oversees all operations. Abe has a passion for customer service, exceptional healthcare delivery, and child and family advocacy.
Abe received his Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Science in Organizational Leadership at Colorado State University systems.
When Abe is not in the office, he enjoys camping, fishing and all things outdoors. He has one adult daughter, Andrea, who is co-owner and Vice President of Operations.
